On Tuesday 31st March 2026, Dr Carlisle George delivered an invited lecture on “Legal and Ethical Aspects of Intelligent Technologies” to law students in the Department of Digital and Technology Law, Faculty of Law, at Károli Gáspár University in Budapest, Hungary.

The lecture focused on how intelligent technologies are reshaping every sector of society and, while offering unprecedented capabilities, also introducing complex legal, ethical, and governance challenges. It explored key legal and ethical issues arising from the rapid evolution of intelligent technologies. Through real-world examples and emerging regulatory developments, the lecture highlighted the risks, opportunities, and dilemmas shaping our digital future. It aimed to provide attendees with an understanding of the evolving legal landscape and the ethical considerations essential to the design, deployment, and use of intelligent technologies.
