Brief Biography

Xiaohong Gao has wider experience on medical imaging, colour imaging, computer vision and tele-imaging/telemedicine. She has been awarded many research fundings as a principle investigator or a co-ordinator,amoung several other funding bodys by JISC , EPSRC , The Royal Society , and The European Commission .

Two demonstrations are available on the web showing her then and now research.

1. Brain Image Retrieval bases on Anatomic Location funded by EPSRC (2001-2004).

2. Content-based Medical Imaging Retrieval funded by JISC (MIRAGE (Phase 1): 2009-2010) and (MIRAGE 2011: 2011).
