Over a short period of time consultancy work can be undertaken for external parties. This work can range from product reviews and requirements specification to preparation of reports and development tasks. University commitment dictates such work to be linked with exisitng work and relevant projects running within the academic group. Previous consultancy work has included:

• a number of white papers for several industrial partners (Lorien Resourcing),
• testing and reviewing of software tools (Webex) and
• usability evaluation of a number of web sites (Multiactive).

The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any use to oneself.
